ZOEY JOHNSON
@zfishjohnson

  • Olympic Peninsula Rivers

  • The thrill of never knowing how big/small the fish is going to be when you set the hook!

  • "Big Bear”

  • Learning to read water is one of the most valuable skills to have as an angler.

  • Hand lining my steelhead after it ran me around 2 boulders and a log!

LAUREN GILMOUR
@furiousgeorge666

  • I technically don’t have a river in my hometown, but I’m lucky enough to have multiple rivers all a short drive away from my home in Victoria, B.C.

  • Spending time outdoors with my family & friends.

  • "Big Bear”

  • Don’t get discouraged if you get skunked some days, turn it into a lesson and adjust your methods for better success the next time. It’s called fishing not catching!

  • The first salmon I ever caught when I was 4. I was on a charter out of Tofino and was the only one on the boat to catch anything that day. I’ve been hooked ever since!

KEVIN CHAU + STEVEN NGUYEN
@BCFISHINGMAJORS

  • Vedder and Capilano Rivers

  • Enjoying the calm of first light and the adrenaline rush of a drained bobber.

  • Black Mamba

  • Be patient! There will be empty days and productive days; pick something to improve regardless of the outcome (reading the water, depth, drift, etc.)

  • The first steelhead we caught together on camera at first light, in just our second trip. The joy and excitement that we were able to document and share has had us hooked on first light fishing and sharing our trips since!

JEFF CAMPBELL
@SLABsfishingco

  • Kitimat River

  • It’s always about the experience & memories getting to travel to new places. Chasing bigger fish keeps me up at night!

  • Pink Haze

  • Always pay attention and absorb what others around you are doing. The knowledge of others will always grow your knowledge! Be patient and enjoy the moments on the river!

  • When I was 6 my grandfather took me out fishing for the first time. He had brought a rope to tie me so I wouldn’t get pulled into the river. The rope was too big for me so I fished without it. At the end of the day, I landed 2 pinks and a 12lb Coho. I’ve been hooked ever since!

BRANDON PAUL
@SLABsfishingco

  • Kitimat River

  • Helping someone get hooked up on a fish, and seeing the excitement that comes with it.

  • “Blue Steel”

  • Pay close attention to patterns or habits of the fish you are targeting. Water color, and even weather will dictate what lure you put on next.

  • Myself and Keaton had brought 2 groups out coho fishing, the weather was calling for 50-75ml of rain and we definitely experienced that. The river was quite brown. We were running out of hope until We managed to find 2 back pockets and put on the green machine JigBox. And hit 14 coho that day between the 2 boats.

KEATON DEMELO
@SLABsfishingco

  • Kitimat River

  • It’s all about the adventure and the great times being had with friends on the river bank!

  • Purple Banger

  • Always have fun! Get out there and appreciate the world we live in! Fish or not just keep casting — the fish are just a bonus.

  • I was down by the river in the spring having a fire with some friends and family. I had a trout rod in my truck so I thought i’d test my luck. I figured I had hooked a stump but then i felt a tug. A Kitimat steelhead putting on a show!

KEITH JOHNSON
@kfishjohnson

  • Olympic Peninsula Rivers

  • Pursuing my personal bests and checking off my bucket list.

  • "Big Bear”

  • Don't miss your bites!

  • I was fly fishing with Frank Amato for salmon when an otter grabbed a fish he had on the line! I was almost able to scoop up both the fish and the otter in the net!

EVERY JIGBOX SOLD PROTECTS OUR RIVER BANKS

BE PART OF OUR MISSION

Riverbank junk is becoming a major problem. Not only does it effect our planet, it’s killing the natural environment of salmon more & more each year. That’s why for each JigBox sold we promise to pick up ten pieces of riverbank junk.

Help us pick up 10 million pieces of trash and keep our rivers green and clean.
